Organic cat food seems like a logical step. Many people are eating healthier and becoming more conscious about the content of their food. As people become more conscientious about their own food they are also starting to think about what is in their pet’s food.

1. Holistic approach to cat health

You need to look at all aspects of your cat’s health and not just one complaint in isolation. If your cat is stressed out, eating badly and not getting any exercise, then it is more likely to get sick. Happy, active cats with good diets are far less likely to get sick.

The next step is to get your cat to associate the bathroom with its kitty litter box. Try moving it in the bathroom and showing your cat it’s new location. If she has no problem with the adjustment then great. If she does the move the box gradually closer to the bathroom. Once there have the litter box next to the toilet. Once you cat becomes accustomed to the new location of the box, the next step would be to raise its height. This can be done by placing a small supporter below the box to give it some altitude. This raising needs to be done at a very slow pace as not all cats will adjust to height; hence, it is best advised to do this at a very slow rate.

Once the height is adjusted and as it gradually makes up to the height of the toilet, the next step is to get your cat to use the toilet instead of the litter box. The best approach towards doing this is by purchasing a metal bowl that fits onto the toilet and which can accommodate the kitty litter box as well. As your cat will gradually begin to use the litter box, she may start out by using the litter box as a support for its back legs.

At first this is okay but since you will remove the litter box later it is important to begin to get it used to positioning all its paws on the seat. You may have to train your cat by holding its paws and putting them on the seat when she uses the toilet to have her get used to it. Eventually, your cat will get a hang of it and slowly your cleaning troubles will be over. You can remove the bowl and your cat will be using the toilet as its new litter box
